Milo's Afternoon

Waiting for a Friend
It's nearly the end of another lazy day. Charlie watches the great outdoors with anticipation, not knowing if his friend Milo will show up to keep him company. It's been two days and he hasn't seen the slightest sign of Milo. Normally Milo comes to play with him every afternoon. "Where has he been? Who else will play with me?" He wonders, as he waits by the window. Will milo come keep him company sometime before sun down?
Staying Indoors
Charlie spent the morning chasing the sun, following it outside when the sun appears, and coming back inside when the sun disappears. The Auckland sun and wind is far too unpredictable for anyone's pleasure.
After going back and forth for two hours, Charlie decides to search for a better place to sleep. Upstairs, he finds himself the perfect place to stay in the sun and out of the wind. This is the life.

Midnight Sun
Charlie is curled up in the corner on his bed, ready to sleep off his long and exhausting day of play. He wonders if humans ever sleep at a reasonable hour. Not in this family, not in this house hold, he realises. It's 12.30am and most rooms are lit up like daylight.
As he curls up into a ball, Charlie covers his eyes with his paw and begins to fall sound asleep, snoring loudly and occasionally barking in his dreams.
